Greetings, fellow Pro-fundity team members - 12-25-99 Page Background music: This Week's Guidepost
This week of caring deeply, giving freely, thinking kindly, acting gently and proclaiming peace, expressing in so many ways the spirit of Love, which is the spirit of this season, is a time for families and friends. All of us at Pro-fundity wish you the very best of feelings and actions, both given and received, at this time of year. For this season has been adopted by many, even of different creeds and peoples, by merchants and venders and even by our government who declares it a Federal holiday. It does more each year than any other time, to draw families together, and this too must be pleasing to God. Each subscriber has received an extra week to compensate for this week. May we all take the eve of Christmas to spend in a more excellent way. As for us and our homes, as Joshua of old declared: "we will serve the Lord". We will worship Jesus Christ, we will celebrate His Holy birth during this, the Christmas Holiday. The story of the Nativity will be central in our holiday homes. We will pray to the Father in Christ's name, continually giving thanks for the gift of the Savior and the price He paid for us. So many Christmas carols sung at this time of year pull up deep childhood memories of the awe and wonder of Christmas. But none more than O'Holy Night and the phrase "He appeared and the soul knew it's worth". The melody is stirring even to the very young, even before they understand the meaning of that phrase. Of course not all in the world have learned yet how important that message is. Some have. The shepherds came in haste, leaving their flocks, which was all in the world they possessed, thinking not of possessions but of something of far greater worth. Wise men sought him (the wise still do) and brought gifts of great worth. Those who have learned of Christ and from Him, know that our gifts of love, humility, repentance and obedience are of greater worth to Him than all the gold He has created in the earth. Our five-year old grandson participated in a church nativity program. He looked down at the doll placed in the manger to represent the Baby Jesus. He looked thoughtfully, then declared: "His eyes are open!" He reached down and closed them with his finger. Then each of the toddler wise men had to open and close the doll's eyes with their fingers. Finally "Mary" screamed, "Let the baby SLEEP!" And the message here for those of us who see deeper than the pageantry? He came to this world as we all do, as babies, but His eyes were not closed. Christ knew His mission. How early He fully understood is not clear. Nor does He sleep now, even though His first mission ended with His mortal death.
From all of us here at Pro-fundity... May you all have a joyous holiday season and look forward to many new and exciting guideposts into the millenium. Stay tuned. It is our intent to help our subscribers understand market strategies well enough to make informed decisions and understand the risks. We provide TC-2000 tutorials to members.
